What is Dapoxetine for?

Dapoxetine is an antidepressant which belongs to the class of Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors (SSRIs). However, it is used instead in the treatment of premature ejaculation in adult men aged 18-64 years of age.

How to use it?

Dapoxetine is available as tablets. The initial dose is 30mg. The maximum dose is 60mg. Take 1-3 hours before sexual activity, with or without food. Do not take more than the prescribed dose.

What are the side effects of Dapoxetine?

Common side effects of Dapoxetine include irritability, agitated or restlessness, flushing, nausea, vomiting and loss of sex drive.

Who should not take Dapoxetine?

  • Anyone who is allergic to any component of Dapoxetine
  • People who are taking or took monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) within the past 14 days
