What is Twynsta?

Twynsta is a brand medication that contains Telmisartan and Amlodipine, which belongs to a class of antihypertensives called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) and Calcium channel blockers. ARBs work by blocking the substances that constrict the blood vessels and hence more blood and oxygen can reach the heart. Amlodipine helps with dilating the blood vessels to lower the blood pressure. Twynsta is therefore used in treating high blood pressure and reducing the risk of cardiovascular events, like heart failure and heart attack.
