What is Kanfu?

Kanfu is a topical cream that contains four different active ingredients, including antibiotics, antifungals and steroids. They work together to effectively treat bacterial and fungal infections which are inflammatory in nature. It is therefore used in a variety of infections such as bacterial or fungal skin infections. It also treats other inflammatory skin conditions like eczema, insect bites and tinea versicolor.

How to use it?

Kanfu is available as cream only. For all types of inflammatory skin conditions, apply a thin layer to the affected area 2-3 times daily.

What are the side effects of Kanfu?

Common side effects of Kanfu include local skin irritation and skin stinging.

Who should not take Kanfu?

  • Anyone who is allergic to any component of Kanfu.

Pharmacist Tips:

  • The treatment duration should usually be around a week. If it does not get any better, speak to your pharmacist to seek medical advice.
  • Do not apply on broken or cracked skin.

Apply 2-3 times a day after cleansing your skin.

In Hong Kong, Kanfu is a prescription only medicine, and requires a prescription from a doctor to be purchased in a pharmacy. It can also be obtained from doctors.
