Zomig is a brand medication that contains Zolmitriptan, which belongs to a class of antimigraine agents. It works by constricting some of your brain vessels to relieve migraine attacks and related–symptoms.
Zomig is available as tablets. The usual starting dose is 2.5mg as soon as migraine attacks or symptoms occur, and may repeat a dose after 2 hours if the initial dose was partially effective or headache recurs. The maximum daily dose is 10mg.
Common side effects of Zomig include burning and tingling sensations, warm or cold sensations, chest discomfort, vertigo and fatigue.
