Persantin is a brand medication that contains Dipyridamole, which belongs to a class of medications called phosphodiesterase inhibitors. It works by releasing the muscle in blood vessels and preventing your platelet from sticking together. It can be used with Warfarin for prophylaxis of thromboembolism with cardiac valve replacement.
Persantin is available as tablets. The usual dose is 75-100 mg 4 times daily in combination with Warfarin.
