What is Lemsip?

Lemsip is a brand medication that contains Paracetamol and Phenylephrine Hydrochloride, which belong to the class of Analgesics and Sympathomimetics. They work in combination for pain relief and nasal congestion associated with cold and flu.

How to use it?

Lemsip is available as capsules and sachets. For cold and flu, take 2 capsules four times a day when required. Do not take more than 8 capsules a day.

 

For sachets, dissolve 1 sachet into hot water, and take every 4-6 hours when required. Do not take more than 4 sachets in 24 hours.

What are the side effects of Lemsip?

There are no common side effects of Lemsip. However, if you take more than the stated maximum daily dose, it may cause liver toxicity.

Who should not take Lemsip?

  • People who are allergic to Lemsip or any component of the formulation.

  • Do not use other products containing Paracetamol.
