Imigran is a brand product that contains Sumatriptan, which belongs to a class of antimigraine agents. It works by constricting some of your brain vessels to relieve migraine attacks and related–symptoms.
Imigran is available as tablets. The usual dose is 50mg as soon as migraine attacks or symptoms occur, and may repeat a dose after 2 hours if the initial dose was partially effective or headache recurs. It may go up to 100mg per dose. The maximum daily dose is 300mg.
Common side effects of Imigran include burning and tingling sensations, warm or cold sensations, chest discomfort, vertigo and fatigue.
