What is Duspatalin?

Duspatalin is a brand medication that contains Duspatalin, which belongs to a class of medications called anticholinergics. It works by relaxing the muscles in the gastrointestinal tracts. It is therefore used to treat irritable bowel syndrome and stomach or intestinal spasms.

How to use it?

Duspatalin is available as prolonged-release capsules. Swallow whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew them. It may be taken with or without food.

 

For treatment of stomach spasms and irritable bowel syndrome,
Take 200 mg twice daily. 

What are the side effects of Duspatalin?

Common side effects of Duspatalin include headachedizziness, heartburn, angioedema, and skin rash.

Who should not take Duspatalin?

  • People who are allergic to Duspatalin or any component of the formulation.

Where to buy Duspatalin in Hong Kong?

In Hong Kong, Duspatalin is a prescription only medicine, and requires a prescription from a doctor to be purchased in a pharmacy. It can also be obtained from doctors.
