Difflam is a brand product that contains Benzydamine, which belongs to a class of medications called Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs). It works by reducing the inflammation signals in the body. Benzydamine is used to treat sore throat or mouth ulcer.
Difflam is available as mouthwash, lozenges, throat spray and mouth gel.
For sore throat,
Adults and children above 12 years
Mouthwash: Rinse or gargle 15 mL every 1.5-3 hours as required.
Throat sprays: 4-8 sprays every 1.5-3 hours, to the affected area.
Child 6-11 years
Throat sprays: 4 sprays every 1.5-3 hours, to the affected area.
Child 1 month – 5 years
Throat sprays:
4-7 kg: 1 spray every 1.5-3 hours, to the affected area.
8-11 kg: 2 sprays every 1.5-3 hours, to the affected area.
12-15 kg: 3 sprays every 1.5-3 hours, to the affected area.
16 kg and above: 4 sprays every 1.5-3 hours, to the affected area.
Common side effects of Difflam include sensitivity and stinging in your mouth.

Refer to each product’s instructions. Generally use every 1.5-3 hours.
