What is Cardura?

Cardura is a brand medication that contains Doxazosin, which belongs to a class of medications known as alpha blockers. It works by relaxing your blood vessels in the body and relaxing the muscles of your prostate. It is therefore used to treat high blood pressure and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

How to use it?

Cardura is available as controlled-release tablets. It may be taken with or without food. Do not break or chew tablets.

 

For high blood pressure and benign prostatic hyperplasia, start with 4 mg once daily, the dose can be adjusted after 4 weeks, then increase if necessary to 8 mg once daily.

What are the side effects of Cardura?

Common side effects of Cardura include low blood pressure, dizziness, headache, and low leg swelling.

Who should not take Cardura?

Where to buy Cardura in Hong Kong?

In Hong Kong, Cardura is a prescription only medicine, and requires a prescription from a doctor to be purchased in a pharmacy. It can also be obtained from doctors.
