Azoren is a brand product that contains Olmesartan and Amlodipine, which belong to the class of calcium channel blockers and angiotensin II receptor blockers. They work in combination to further relax the smooth muscles in blood vessels to reduce blood pressure. It is therefore used in high blood pressure, in which treatment of Olmesartan or Amlodipine alone cannot control the blood pressure adequately.
Azoren is available as tablets. Take with or without food.
For high blood pressure, the starting dose is 20mg/5mg once daily. It may go up to 40mg/5mg once daily at intervals of 1-2 weeks depending on the response. The maximum daily dose is 40mg/10mg.
