Exciting news for parents-to-be in the near and far future: Gleneagles Hospital Hong Kong has opened the doors to its Obstetrics Ward!
Gleneagles Hospital pioneered with the first private A&E on Hong Kong Island in January 2018 and, as part of the Obstetrics Ward, is now opening the doors to the first private Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) on Hong Kong Island. This is a big deal. Previously, the only option for newborns requiring NICU-level care was in public hospitals.
Gleneagles' Obstetrics ward has 5 Labour and Delivery rooms and 16 Obstetrical rooms ranging from standard 2 patient-shared rooms to family suites. They provide a full range of pre- and post-natal services.
For a list of obstetricians currently delivering at Gleneagles Hospital, please consult their list.
Your obstetrician isn't on the list? Ask your doctor directly if she/he holds admission privileges to the Gleneagles Hospital and can admit patients there.
