Enuresis: Bed-Wetting

Enuresis, more commonly known as bed-wetting is common in young children. Around 15-20% of children have some degree of bed-wetting at 5 years of age, with a spontaneous resolution of approximately 15% a year. Read to learn more about the definition, causes, types and management of enuresis.

What is Desmopressin for?

Desmopressin is a synthetics analogue of the antidiuretic hormone vasopressin. Different formulations or different brands may have different indications which would be described below. In general, it can be used to treat Hemophilia A, central diabetes insipidus, von Willebrand disease, nocturia, uremic bleeding, and primary nocturnal enuresis.
