It’s a First on Hong Kong Island! Private Hospital Opens 24-Hour Emergency Services

On December 15, 2017, the Gleneagles Hong Kong Hospital announced the opening of its round-the-clock emergency services. This makes the Gleneagles the only private hospital on HK Island to provide emergency care with a team of Emergency Medicine specialists. The only other private hospital providing such services is Union Hospital in Shatin which opened its Emergency Medicine Centre 20 years ago.

Located mere metres from the Aberdeen Tunnel in Wong Chuk Hang, the Gleneagles Hospital provides comprehensive Outpatient and Emergency Services for both common and critical conditions, including fever, cold and flu, ankle sprain, severe allergic reaction and chest pain. With 18 public hospitals offering Accident and Emergency (A&E) services, Hospital Authority remains the leading provider in Hong Kong for critically ill or injured persons who need urgent medical attention.
